  1. Great information about Mobile Phone Encryption Jeanne… I was just about to sync my email with my smartphone and I’m glad i watched your show first. Now, I’m going to make sure i have that password and encryption protection. Your shows are always informative and relevant, especially to my business, thanks for sharing!

  2. Jeanne, thanks for another great show. We often don’t think about security on our mobile devices and the need for mobile phone encryption is now a high priority for me. Do you recommend any particular App for smart phones? Thanks again!

    • Great question Patrick! Mobile phone encryption apps are typically very specific to the device / OS that you have, for example iPhone, Android, Windows Mobile, etc. If you know what mobile phone you would like to encrypt, I can make you a recommendation.

    • We would recommend Norton Mobile Security for the iPhone mobile phone encryption. Not only does it take care of encryption for you, but it also protects against viruses, malware and much, much more. It is not free, but it is only about $30 per year. Well worth it.

    • Thanks for the question Ron on Mobile Phone Encryption for your phone! Norton Mobile Security will run on your phone just perfectly. With more than just encryption protection, it is a great option. We highly recommend it!

      • Thanks Jeanne, your awesome. Another question, does this slow down your phone processing at all? Sometimes my phone gets slow looking up contacts. Thanks!

        • Thanks Ron, great question! We are asked this many times. In general, the answer is no, it does not slow down your phone processing. But any encryption app has to run on the phone at all times and if you are already having issues with your phone having slowness issues, it is something to be concerned about. We would suggest that you find out why the phone is having slowness issues before installing an encryption app. If you need any help, just let me know.

          • Thanks for the great response. I will have Verizon check it out because it is loading all my tweeter and Facebook contacts even though I told it not to sync. It seems better since the phone did an automatic update to Ice Cream Sandwich. I will let you know how things progress.
