A transplant from Indiana, Karen moved to Ohio in 1998. She has always enjoyed working with people in various fields. She spent 18 years in historic preservation of old buildings, guiding others in the resources needed to restore historic buildings to their original splendor. She taught exercise classes for cancer patients and survivors for 9 years and also taught crafts classes. Karen began Journey work in March of 2008 and was accredited in January of 2009. She feels nothing she has done in her life up to this point has been as meaningful and as satisfying as working with others to release their emotional blocks through Journey work and to see them blossom! Karen shares her home in Sylvania with her husband, Jerry, (and their greyhound, Dayna) and between them they have 4 children and 4 grandchildren.

I also find that doing something that completely changes my concentration will help me – I have a few mind games / brain trainer apps on my phone that I will run some of the exercizes and that will help me to rejuvenate. Looking forward to your next show!

  2. Thanks for your comments, Jeanne, I like the idea of changing your concentration as a pick me up! I also use Lumosity.com for brain games and to help keep the brain flexible and “in shape.”

  3. Great advice Karen, it does help to go outside and get some fresh air when feeling stressed. I’ve always felt better when i can stand up, look away from the computer and just sit alone for a minute while listening to the sounds of nature and taking in some sunshine… it does wonders. Thanks for sharing!

  4. Ok Karen, I committed to relaxing and it’s great….thank you. Now you want me to rejuvenate? Here’s what I do….I walk/run my dog. I used to take the kids for a walk to rejuvenate, but they moved out, so now it’s the dog…hopefully he doesn’t move out too 🙂
