Natural Sunscreen Protection: Quick Tips for Busy People – Part 1

Deb Reis identifies common food items that can be used as part of a sunscreen recipe. Learn about specific essential oils that can facilitate sun protection on the skin in today’s episode.

Additional Sun Screen Recipe:
Sun Screen Cream (by Dianne Roach, RN, CCA)
¾ cup carrier oil of choice – sesame, coconut, carrot seed
1 cup purified water
½ oz beeswax
30-50 drops essential oil – NO CITRUS OILS
Melt oils and beeswax above 168 degrees
Let cool down till able to touch with fingertips
Measure water – put in blender or deep bowl (use stick blender)
Add carrier oil to water in steady stream – mixing well- let cool
Add Essential Oil – mix well
